Brian Fitzmaurice, CSCS *D, Co-Owner  As a life long student of sports science, Brian is dedicated to exploring, applying and manipulating nutrition, training and regeneration methods to optimize the overall function and performance of the human body.  His extensive knowledge in strength and speed training, metabolic issues, and human performance has lead him to consult and train a full spectrum of elite amateur, college and professional athletes. Brian has a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in nutrition.  Brian is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is recognized as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Certified with Distinction (*D). In addition, he is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and The USA Track and Field Association. Brian energetically motivates individuals to continually strive toward their ultimate potential, overcoming any perceived obstacles that may prevent them from achieving optimal human performance.


 

 


 


Shawn Fitzmaurice, NSCA-CPT, Co-Owner  With over 12 years of experience, Shawn has an in-depth knowledge and expertise in all areas of athletic and physical preparation.  Shawn has experienced great fulfillment seeing the broad range of clientele at Fitzmaurice Performance make great strides and succeed.  Shawn says “Our goal is to see that you reach your full physical potential, no matter where you’re beginning”. Shawn is a professional member and certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and is a professional member of the American College of Sports Medicine.  Shawn has been featured in The St. Louis Business Journal, and has contributed to numerous health, fitness and performance articles. 


 

 


 


Amy Fitzmaurice, BA, CPT Amy has over ten years of experience in the human performance field designing and implementing individual and group strength and conditioning programs. Amy's training and programming reflects her extensive knowledge in advanced strength training principles, sports nutrition and human metabolism. As a successful competitive bodybuilder and busy mother, Amy inspires and motivates every client that she consults. Amy's personal accomplishments include winning the 2003 Caveman Classic Bodybuilding Championship and the 2004 Missouri State Bodybuilding Championship Overall "Ms. Missouri title.

 


 


 


Lisa Fitzmaurice, BA, CPT has a degree in Sports Medicine with an emphasis in Athletic Training.   Lisa has numerous years of experience in the pre/post surgical rehabilitation of the spine, joints, and extremities, as well as in depth knowledge of neuromuscular conditions.  She has extensive experience working with collegiate and professional athletes in MLB, NHL, NFL and the USA Olympic Team.  Lisa focuses on the entire body by offering muscle work therapy and flexibility enhancement for deep tissue problems, trigger points and for athletic performance enhancement.  


 


 


Tami Rush, CPT Tami has helped her clientele build a solid foundation of health and wellness through educating them on proper lifestyle changes, increased activity and accountability to reach their success.  Most recently she has completed 500 hours of training to complete her certification through Pilates Unlimited.  This extensive coursework included certification on the Cadillac, Reformer, Chair, Spine Corrector, Ladder Barrel, and Mat. She currently works one on one with her clientele utilizing both Cadillac and Reformer Pilates Training at Fitzmaurice Performance. Tami’s goal is to help her clients not only become healthier and fit through conventional training, but also through the Pilates method to improve their balance, core strength, posture and overall body awareness.


 

 


 

Tony Grana, BS, USAW, CSCS graduated from the University of Missouri St. Louis with a bachelors degree in Physical Education.  Tony is recognized as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and a certified Club Coach by the United States Weighlifting Association. He is an active member of  the NSCA, USAW, MOAPHERD, and the Missouri State Baseball coaches association- these professional organizations help continue his educational growth in the strength and conditioning field.  While attending the University of Missouri St. Louis Tony played second base and was named first team all conference and all region.  In the summertime Tony is the head 18 and under coach for the St. Louis Redbirds baseball Club. Tony is in the process of starting his masters degree in Exercise physiology and health promotion with an emphasize in performance enhancement and injury prevention.  This puts him in position to provide the highest level of program development and instruction to get the best out of every person he trains.  


 


 

Natalie Yarbrough, CPT Natalie joined the Fitzmaurice Performance team in July of 2007.  She trained under Shawn Fitzmaurice for 3 years before obtaining a certification through AFAA. As a fitness enthusiast, Natalie is always ready for a challenge.  She trained for and successfully completed her first triathlon last year. With the added knowledge and support she has with her new team at Fitzmaurice Performance, you can be certain there are many more races in her future.  Currently, she is heading up “The Fit Bride Program” at Fitzmaurice Performance.  Her most recent “Fit Bride” participant lost over 20 inches and 8%body fat in time for the big day.  


 

 

   

Dr. Fitzmaurice, D.C., C.C.S.P., serves as the Director of Sports Medicine for Fitzmaurice Performance and is an integral part of our professional and elite performance enhancement programs. He specializes in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunction and athletic injuries. He brings over 25 years of experience to the table and he has been called on to treat many professional athletes in the NHL, the NFL, Major League Baseball as well as the Nike Olympic Team.  He has been thoroughly trained in sports medicine, injury treatment and prevention, kinesiology, biomechanical analysis and performance, rehabilitation, sports performance,  as well as spinal and myofascial analysis and techniques.  Dr. Fitzmaurice thoroughly evaluates athletes from a structural and functional standpoint to identify weaknesses and imbalances which may inhibit maximum performance, or predispose the athlete to injury.  Treatment is then directed at correcting identified areas of weakness or dysfunction to enhance performance, and help the athlete realize his fullest potential.  His style and treatment exudes a passion and energy that motivates and inspires all the athletes he treats.
